This Saturday ITFC ventured to Grinnell College for this year's Grinnell Invitational, smashing a pair of club records and posting two more top five performances in club history.
Kelley Gates opened the day with a 7.24 and eighth place finish in the men's 60 meter final. David Allred's 8.79 secured a fourth place finish in the men's 60 meter hurdles, destroying the previous record of 9.27 set by Brady Richlen in 2019.
Jayden Patel's 2:01.45 earned him a fourth place finish in the men's 800 meters and the fourth fastest mark in club history. Grant Trentz earned a bronze-medal finish in the men's 1600 meters with a time of 4:44.07, followed by a fifth-place finish from Noah Yost in 4:47.06. Cade Baker's 9:15.75 secured a sixth-place finish in the men's 3000 meters.
Shriji Patel set a mark of 12.08 meters in the shot put, shattering a nine-year-old club record.
In the men's 4x400 meter relay, David Allred, River Patterson, Isaac Branch, and Carson Jenson combined for a 3:31.85, earning a bronze-medal finish and a third all-time club performance.
Coming up - ITFC will head to St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA on February 15th for the SAU Tune Up
