This Saturday the Iowa Track and Field Club traveled to Verona WI for this year’s edition of the Wisconsin Track Club Border Battle. The Men placed fourth and the Women placed third. 

On the Women’s side, Nora Enright led the team with an 8th place finish (24:39). Olivia McPherson, Kathryn Schultz, and Abigail Trentz finished 12th (26:02), 13th (26:57), and 14th (27:03), while Abigail Adams rounded out the top five with a 19th place finish (30:21). The Women opened the day with 66 points.  

Chris King led the Men’s team with a 7th place finish (27:52), followed by Chris Spahn who finished 14th (29:03). Rounding out the top five, Jayden Patel placed 21st (29:26) followed by a 23rd place finish from Zach Benoit (29:38) while Aidan O’Connor placed 26th (31:11). The men scored 91 points to end the day.  

Nora and Olivia’s finishes were the 4th and 7th fastest times in club history for the Women’s 6k. 

COMING UP – ITFC will travel to the Dan Huston Invite in Waverly, IA, on Oct. 5th
